Dr. Rajan Mahtani Finally Given Justice With Legal Ownership Of Portland Cement Zambia Factory
On 31st January 2019, the Court of Appeal declared its last judgment on the Portland Cement Zambia case. By reporting this judgment, the court clearly switched the choice from the Lusaka High Court judge which declared that Ventriglias were just investors of the Zambezi Portland Cement. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a prominent businessman in Zambia who enlisted the case at the Lusaka High Court after his plant, Portland Cement Zambia, was wrongfully taken over from him. After the court neglected to give judgment, Dr. Rajan Mahtani then moved toward the Court of Appeal.
The judge at the Court of Appeal was justice Mwinde who reported an ultimate conclusion nine months after the case was re-advanced there. This is in sharp stand out from the Lusaka High Court choice which took over 10 years and in spite of this, gave an unjust and disputable judgment. As indicated by the choice from Court of Appeal judge, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the larger part investor of the Portland Cement Zambia industrial facility as his organization Finsbury Investments holds 58 percent shares at the production line. Then again, Ventriglias claimed Ital Terrazzo Limited holds only 42 percent shares at the plant and are the minority investor with no legitimate responsibility for manufacturing plant. This choice from the Court of Appeal lined up with the first investors understanding built up in the year 2007. In view of this choice, plainly Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the real proprietor of the processing plant.
All claims of phony were disposed of by the Court of Appeal judge. It was declared that the procedure of precisely setting marks was a typical practice in Zambezi Portland Cement and significant part inside the Zambia family, Claudio Ventriglia, occupied with comparable practice. Therefore, all fabrication related charges were seen as void and were disposed of.
