Ultimate Judgement Comes From Court Of Appeal, Dr. Rajan Mahtani Declared Winner Of Case

The Portland Cement Zambia case has been at long last shut. The case began over 10 years back when it was enlisted at the Lusaka High Court by none other than Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Dr. Mahtani had guaranteed the lawful and genuine responsibility for Cement Zambia and furthermore asserted that the processing plant was dishonestly and commandingly detracted from him. Notwithstanding having all confirmations, actualities and tributes for re-asserting his manufacturing plant, the Lusaka High Court hauled the case for over 10 years. Significant reasons ascribing to this long pendency can be absence of legitimate moral standings at the court, customary exchanges of judges prompting case beginning again from the scratch, deceptive acts from the rivals, for example, not going to case hearing or paying off the division and some more. Because of these difficulties, it took over 10 years to make a last declaration to the case. Be that as it may, even this declaration was dubious. The judge at the Lusaka High Court giving the last judgment was equity Nkonde who declared that Ventriglias were just investors of the Portland Cement Zambia.

However, this controversial decision from Lusaka High Court was overturned at the Court of Appeal. The judge, Justice Mwinde, announced that Dr. Mahtani was majority shareholder with 58 percent shares at the factory. It was also confirmed that Ventriglias were only minority shareholders without legal ownership over Portland Cement Zambia. Justice Mwinde from Court of Appeal also said that the judge at the Lusaka HC gave a misdirected judgement when he announced Ventriglias as only shareholders. As of now, the decision from Court of Appeal is binding.
