Dr. Rajan Mahtani Conferred With Forbes Award


Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently conferred with the prestigious ‘Best of Africa’ awards by Forbes. The awards came during the most anticipated business event of Africa, Forbes-FIN Philanthropy and Leadership roundtable conference which was held on 6th August 2021. The Forbes-FIN roundtable conference is a much awaited and anticipated business event which is being held in Africa annually. The event invited celebrated personalities including businessmen from international communities, politicials and political leaders, opinion leaders, spiritual leaders, international investors and media partners. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of the esteemed speakers during the event and spoke about the critical significance of leadership for the development of the African nation. 

A major attraction of the event established by Forbes and FIN (Foreign Investment Network) was the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. These awards are presented to leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses and achievers across different fields and areas across Africa. The holds hold special significance as they are selected after months of rigorous selection exercises and verification processes by both Forbes and FIN. These verification processes include background checks, interviews and discussions regarding the contributions of the potential candidates towards empowerment of the African Nation. 

The philanthropic contributions by Dr. Rajan Mahtani are also immense. He is the founder of the Prison Fellowship Zambia, a program aimed towards supporting and caring for the inmates and ex-inmates. He is also the founder of the Stephen Malama award and scholarship which is given to the top graduating candidate from law school in Zambia. Despite the several challenges, tribunals and trials thrown at Dr. Rajan Mahtani, he has continued to work towards the welfare and development of Zambian nation and its people, a contribution which the international business community finally recognised.
